Our Services
Therapy for the places where life feels stuck.
Sometimes you know exactly what is wrong. Other times, you only know that something feels off. You are feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns you cannot seem to change.
Connection Point Psychology offers warm, thoughtful therapy for adults and couples throughout New York and Florida. Together, we work to understand what is happening beneath the surface and help you move toward greater clarity, connection, and emotional freedom.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and understand yourself more fully. It can help you work through immediate concerns while also exploring the deeper patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be shaping how you feel today.
Who It Is For
We work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, grief, trauma, or a persistent sense of feeling stuck or disconnected. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a perfectly clear explanation of what is wrong.
What It Can Help With
Individual therapy can help you:
-
Understand and manage difficult emotions
-
Recognize recurring patterns
-
Strengthen relationships
-
Work through painful experiences
-
Develop greater self-understanding
-
Feel more grounded and connected in your life
What Sessions Are Like
Sessions are warm, collaborative, and thoughtful. Your therapist will listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and help you notice connections that may be difficult to see on your own.
There is room for both insight and practical change. We will pay attention to what is happening in your life now while also exploring the experiences and relationships that have shaped how you understand yourself and others.

Couples and Relationship Therapy
Relationships can become painful not because people have stopped caring, but because they have become caught in patterns that leave both partners feeling misunderstood, defensive, distant, or alone.
Couples therapy creates space to slow those patterns down, understand what is happening between you, and begin relating to one another differently.
Who It Is For
We work with couples at different stages of their relationships, including those experiencing recurring conflict, emotional distance, communication difficulties, changes in trust or intimacy, and major life transitions.
Couples therapy can also be helpful when the relationship is fundamentally strong but both partners want to understand one another more deeply.
What It Can Help With
Couples therapy can help address:
-
Recurring arguments and unresolved conflict
-
Communication difficulties
-
Emotional distance or disconnection
-
Trust and relationship ruptures
-
Intimacy and closeness
-
Parenting and family stress
-
Major transitions
-
Painful patterns that keep repeating
What Sessions Are Like
Your therapist will take an active role in helping you slow down difficult interactions and understand the emotional pattern taking over the relationship. The focus is not simply on deciding who is right, but on helping each partner feel heard, communicate more openly, and respond to one another with greater understanding.

Family Therapy
There’s a particular kind of loneliness in feeling misunderstood by the people who know you best. Families carry a lot of history, and sometimes that history can make it hard to see each other clearly. Family therapy offers a place to get curious about each other again, put words to experiences that have been hard to explain, and talk through what a transition or challenge means for everyone involved.
Our team includes clinicians with specialized family therapy training. We bring warmth, thoughtfulness, and room for each person’s perspective, helping families find ways to stay connected while allowing each other to grow.
Who It Is For
We work with family members who want to understand one another better, navigate a change, or find a way through conversations that have become difficult. This may include parents and adult children, siblings, or other family relationships where there is distance, tension, or something important that has been hard to talk about.
You do not need to agree on what is wrong or know exactly what to say before beginning.
What It Can Help With
Family therapy can help you:
-
Feel heard and better understand each other’s experiences
-
Recognize patterns that leave conversations feeling stuck
-
Talk through longstanding hurt and misunderstandings
-
Navigate changing roles, caregiving, and aging
-
Work through grief, loss, and major family transitions
-
Make room for differences, boundaries, and independence
-
Find ways to connect that feel meaningful to everyone involved
What Sessions Are Like
Your therapist will take an active role in helping everyone have room to speak and be heard. We will slow down difficult conversations, ask questions, and help put words to feelings that can get lost in familiar exchanges.
We will pay attention to both your shared history and what is happening between you now. As you begin to understand each other more fully, we will help you practice ways of talking, listening, and responding that leave room for both closeness and individuality.

Group Therapy
Some things are easier to understand about yourself when you’re with other people working through familiar terrain. Group therapy offers a space to share what you’re struggling with, hear different perspectives, and notice how you relate to others in real time. You might recognize yourself in someone else’s story, practice saying something you usually hold back, or begin to understand a pattern that follows you into relationships. It is a place to find support, hope, and a sense of emotional belonging.
Who It Is For
Group therapy can be helpful for adults experiencing loneliness, relationship difficulties, anxiety, shame, or a sense of disconnection. It can also be a meaningful space for people who want to understand themselves more deeply and feel more comfortable being themselves around others.
You do not need to feel confident speaking in a group to begin.
What It Can Help With
Group therapy can help you:
-
Feel less alone in what you are experiencing
-
Understand patterns in how you connect with others
-
Express feelings and needs you usually keep to yourself
-
Develop greater trust and comfort in relationships
-
Explore different perspectives with curiosity
-
Build a stronger sense of belonging and self-acceptance
What Sessions Are Like
Your therapist will help create a thoughtful, welcoming environment where members can share, listen, and respond to one another with care. There is room to talk about what is happening in your life and to explore the feelings and interactions that arise within the group itself.
As trust develops, you may find yourself taking small steps toward being more open, asking for support, or allowing others to get to know you more fully. Together, we will make sense of those experiences and how they connect to your relationships outside the group.
