About Connection Point Psychology
A place to feel seen and understood.
Finding the right therapist is about more than credentials or a list of specialties. It is about finding someone with whom you can speak honestly, feel genuinely understood, and begin making sense of what has been difficult to change on your own.
Connection Point Psychology offers warm, thoughtful therapy for adults and couples throughout New York and Florida. Our practice is fully virtual, allowing you to meet with your therapist from wherever you feel most comfortable.

Why Connection Point?
The name Connection Point reflects what we believe is at the heart of meaningful therapy: the moment when you feel understood enough to become more curious about yourself.
It is where your emotions, experiences, relationships, and current struggles begin to connect. Patterns that once seemed confusing may start to make sense. Reactions that felt automatic become easier to recognize. And, gradually, you gain more freedom in how you respond to yourself, to other people, and to the challenges in your life.
Connection Point Psychology was founded by Dr. Uri Krakauer to provide an alternative to therapy that feels impersonal, overly clinical, or one-size-fits-all. We are a small, carefully built practice where warmth, depth, and genuine human connection remain central to the work.
Our mission is not only to help people feel better, but to help them understand themselves more fully. Relief matters. So does discovering why certain patterns keep repeating, what your emotions may be communicating, and what makes lasting change possible.
What We Value
Genuine connection rather than clinical distance
Emotional depth alongside practical change
Curiosity about what lies beneath the surface
Respect for each person’s culture, identity, relationships, and lived experience
Honesty delivered with warmth and respect
Therapy that is collaborative, responsive, and shaped around the individual
Our Therapeutic Philosophy
Therapy with both depth and direction
Our approach is relational and integrative. Depending on your needs and your therapist’s training, therapy may draw from psychodynamic, attachment-based, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches.
That means we care about helping you manage what is happening now, while also understanding the deeper emotional patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Practical tools can help you respond differently in the moment. Deeper exploration can help you understand why the same struggles continue to return.
We believe both matter.
The relationship is part of the therapy
Therapy is not simply a set of techniques delivered from one person to another. The relationship you build with your therapist is itself an important part of the work.
We aim to create relationships that feel safe, honest, collaborative, and genuinely human. Your therapist will not judge you or reduce you to a diagnosis. They will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, notice patterns, and at times challenge you with warmth and care.

Let’s Find the Right Connection
You do not need to know exactly what kind of therapy you need or have everything figured out before reaching out.
Tell us a little about what brings you here, and we will help you determine whether Connection Point, and which therapist on our team, may be the right fit.
