Feel More Connected
Thoughtful Therapy for Meaningful Change
Connection Point Psychology is a small, intimate psychotherapy practice offering warm, thoughtful online therapy for adults and couples throughout New York and Florida.
We help people understand what is happening beneath the surface, change painful patterns, and build more meaningful relationships with themselves and others.
About Our Practice
Connection Point Psychology is a relational therapy practice built around the belief that meaningful change begins with understanding and connection.
We offer a place to slow things down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and the people who matter to you.

Our Areas of Focus
You don’t need a perfectly articulated reason to begin therapy.
Sometimes the problem has a name. Sometimes all you know is, “Something doesn’t feel right.” Both are enough to begin.
Anxiety
Anxiety keeps the mind searching for what might go wrong, making it difficult to relax, trust yourself, or remain present.
Panic Attacks
Panic attacks bring sudden, intense fear and frightening physical sensations that can create an ongoing fear of when the next attack will happen.
Depression
Depression can bring sadness, emptiness, disconnection, or a loss of energy and interest in the parts of life that once felt meaningful.
Mood Disorders
Significant changes in mood, energy, sleep, or motivation can make daily life feel unpredictable and strain the relationships people rely on most.
Dating and Relationships
Dating and close relationships can bring fears of rejection, abandonment, and vulnerability to the surface and make familiar patterns difficult to ignore.
Stress and Burnout
Chronic pressure can leave even highly capable people feeling depleted, irritable, detached, and unable to keep functioning at the pace they expect of themselves.
Trauma
Painful experiences can shape the nervous system, sense of safety, self-image, and relationships long after the original danger has passed.
Grief and Loss
Grief follows many kinds of loss such as death, separation, disappointment, and the loss of a future someone expected to have.
Life Transitions
Major changes involving relationships, family, work, health, beliefs, or identity can disrupt a person’s sense of stability and direction.
Excessive Shame
Excessive shame turns mistakes, struggles, and imperfections into evidence that something is fundamentally wrong with you.
Addiction
Addiction often begins as a source of relief, escape, or control before becoming a pattern that feels increasingly difficult to change.
Phobias
Phobias create intense fear around a particular object, situation, or experience, often leading to avoidance that gradually makes life smaller.
Anger Management
Anger becomes a problem when it begins running conversations, damaging relationships, or producing reactions that do not reflect the person you want to be.
Aging
Aging can change your roles, relationships, and sense of self. We help you navigate these changes and find meaning in what comes next.
Chronic Pain
Living with a chronic condition brings pain, uncertainty, and strain. We help you explore the connection between physical and emotional well-being.
Our Mission
We believe people change through connection: first through the experience of being genuinely known by another person, then through a more honest and compassionate relationship with themselves, and finally in the relationships and choices that make up their lives.
Therapy begins with a real human relationship. You should feel genuinely seen and supported while also being helped to look honestly at the patterns that keep pulling you back. Our therapists bring warmth, curiosity, compassion, humor, and clinical depth to the work.
Our therapists listen for what you say, what becomes difficult to say, and what keeps repeating. Together, we become curious about the fears, defenses, attachment patterns, and old solutions shaping your life.
Understanding where a pattern comes from matters. So does knowing what to do when anxiety is spiking, grief feels overwhelming, or a conversation is about to go off the rails. We combine deeper exploration with practical coping skills that help you manage difficult emotions, communicate more clearly, and respond with greater choice.
We take your symptoms seriously without mistaking them for your whole story.
You don’t have to choose between being challenged and being cared for. Good therapy requires both.

Connection isn’t the soft stuff around therapy.
It’s where therapy happens.
Our Clinical Director
Dr. Uri Krakauer
Connection Point Psychology was co-founded and is clinically directed by Dr. Uri Krakauer, a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults and couples.
Dr. Krakauer’s style is warm, active, curious, and relational. He helps clients look beneath their immediate symptoms to understand the emotional and relationship patterns influencing how they experience themselves, the people they love, and the choices they make.
As clinical director, Dr. Krakauer also supports and supervises the practice’s therapists, helping Connection Point provide thoughtful and deeply engaged care across the practice.

What to Expect
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are not quite sure where to start. We aim to make the process feel clear, comfortable, and approachable from the very beginning.
1.
Getting Started
Complete our brief inquiry form and tell us a little about what you are looking for. You do not need to explain everything perfectly or already know what kind of therapy you need.
We will contact you to learn more, answer your initial questions, and help determine which therapist may be the right fit.
2.
Your First Session
Your first session is an opportunity for you and your therapist to begin getting to know one another.
You will discuss what has been happening, what led you to seek therapy now, what you hope might change, and any relevant parts of your history. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of your therapist’s approach.
3.
Ongoing Therapy
Therapy is collaborative and individualized. Some sessions may focus on immediate challenges, while others may explore deeper emotional and relationship patterns.
Over time, the goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to help you understand yourself, navigate difficult moments, and participate more fully in your relationships and your life.

Our practice welcomes members of the LGBTQ+ community. We celebrate and appreciate individual differences and will be honored to work with people of any race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion or ethnicity.
